Aleksander Litvinov

In 1980 I was graduated from the Tallinn Art Academy, sculpture. Till 1990 I worked in different styles: realism, constructivism, conceptualism. The tree, during this period, is the main material. Since 1990 started being engaged in mini-plasticity where animals became a favorite subject, and the main material – bronze. At the beginning realistic approach was used:anatomy, the proportion, movement, and then stylistics changed towards a sign, a symbol of archetype. Animals became one of ways to look at the person in unusual shape for it. I participated in many animalistic festivals. Now animals are a favorite subject of the sculptor.
